ON THIS DAY IN HISTORY - March 2nd
 
On This Day in 1484, The College of Arms is incorporated by Royal charter by King Richard III.
 
A year later and Richard-The-Turd became the last English King to die in battle.
 
Richard-For-The-Third-Time-I-Didn't-Kill-My-Nephews died at the battle of Bosworth Field in 1485 after a series of serious blows to his head.
 
Well, at least one of them was pretty serious. In fact, he had eleven wounds in total, eight of them to the head. Someone had some serious anger issues they had to deal with.
 
On This Day in 1825, Robert Cofresi was defeated in combat and captured by the authorities. Cofresi, although not well known, was one of the last successful Caribbean pirates, even putting the infamous Blackbeard to shame.
 
On This Day in 1882, Queen Victoria survived an assassination attempt by Roderick McLean at Windsor.
